Having been in the visual design field for 10 years and having had my own firm, FigaroDesign, for 7 years, I have had the good fortune to work with well-established consumer companies, academia, venture capitalists, technology startups and business incubators. I've seen from experience that my branding and design experience has contributed to the success of each company, from higher sales to more media coverage and investor interest.
Before launching my own firm, I served as Creative Services Manager at Venture Capital firm Raza Foundries, having firsthand experience building brands for emerging technology companies in Silicon Valley.
Other tidbits about Sarah:
Before her time at Raza Foundries, Sarah served as design consultant to PayPal, acquired by eBay, to establish a consistent brand from printed collateral to user interfaces (UIs) for their website. For Stanford University, she developed online Flash tutorials to "teach the teachers" about the university's "Smart Panel" building automation control system.
During her time consulting at Leapfrog, she facilitated the coordination of the marketing, branding, and product design teams. She managed external vendors for printing of their toy packaging in the United States and Asia.
Every visitor to a Golden State Warrior's NBA game in Oakland sees examples of Sarah's work. She aided in the extension of the team's new logo to marketing collateral, outdoor advertising, and the Oakland Arena's exterior and interior signage.
Sarah earned her BFA in Graphic Design from Academy of Art University. She is the Program Director for the Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs (SVASE). Sarah can be found winning awards for excellence in design as well as organizing branding workshops for fellow Graphic Designers in the Bay Area. She enjoys music, tennis, travel, and NBA basketball games.
