Sarah has worked closely with VCs, Fortune 500, and emerging businesses, helping to enhance their investment by creating identities that reflect their core business.

She can now be found at IBM enhancing the customer experience by facilitating the coordination of user experience, visual design, technical writers, and developers across five countries (Japan, China, India, Germany & USA). Prior to IBM, she served as Sr. Manager for Design and Marketing at AGIS.com, a webby award winner, building the brand from the ground up.

In 2001 she founded FigaroDesign branding agency and sample clients included Walmart.com, Genentech, Intruvert (acquired by Network Associates), Wells Fargo and Beatnik Inc.

Previously, Sarah served as Creative Services Manager at Raza Foundries, a venture capital and incubator company, where she had first-hand experience building brands for emerging technology companies in the Silicon Valley.

Sarah has also served as design consultant to such companies as PayPal (acquired by Ebay) to establish a consistent brand from printed collateral to UI for their website, and Stanford University, developing their online Flash tutorials for their ‘Smart Panel’.

During her time consulting at Leapfrog, she facilitated the coordination of marketing, branding, and product design teams as well external vendors for printing of their toy packaging both in the United States and Asia. Earlier, she aided in extension of NBA’s Golden State Warriors’ new logo to marketing collateral, outdoor advertising, exterior and interior signage for the Oakland Arena.

Sarah has a BFA in Graphic Design from Academy of Art University and can be found winning awards for excellence in design as well as organizing branding workshops for fellow Graphic Designers in the Bay Area. She has been Program Director for the SF SVASE Association (Silicon Valley of Startup Entrepreneurs) and can be found at events such as Stanford’s VLAB, Stirr, AIGA, and SDForum for Emerging Techologies in the Bay Area. In 2010, she was awarded invention patent for her work on data visualizations for IBM.
